Bandy Toaster

Groovy Dancing Girl 3
I loved the first 2 'Groovy Dancing Girl' videos, but I didn't know her online name was Bandy Toaster, or that she had a You Tube channel with 2 more videos in the series.

Groovy Dancing Girl 4
This video was just recently uploaded.

Beardyman & Mr. Hopkinson - Monkey Jazz
Yesterday I showed you a clip of this beatboxer at You Tube Live.

You Tube Live Special

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today I'm focusing on my favorite moments from You Tube Live.

PS: I moderate & approve all comments on this blog. Mostly because I try to keep people from spamming. So if you try to comment, and it doesn't appear right away it's just because your comment is awaiting my approval still. Negative comments will be approved as long as they have a point, and not just meant to be insulting. I also don't except many friends on MySpace, so if I deny a friend request don't take it personal.

Bo Burnham - Welcome To YouTube
The coolest white rapper ever has a new song.

Julia Nunes & The YouTube Ukulele Orchestra
You'll notice Wade Johnston is in the orchestra as well.

Beardyman
Beat boxing done right.

Spinto Band - Oh Mandy/Summer Grof
The second song is from their new album.

What I've Been Watching Lately

Today all my videos have to do with my favorite moments from movies or television. So if you're not into classic musicals I suggest you skip todays post.

Dean Martin & Nancy Sinatra - Things
Dean Martin is by far my favorite singer of all time. I don't really care for Nancy Sinatra too much, but I've always loved this duet.

Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis - Hey Punchinello
I never liked any of the movies Jerry Lewis did without Dean Martin. I don't think there's 1 that I didn't like when they worked together. Best comedic team ever...

Fascinatin' Rhythm from Lady Be Good (1941)
This is a classic routine that is broken up into 3 parts. The first part features Connie Russell, who's a fine singer, but not very impressive after watching the next 2 parts. The 3 Berry Brothers come in at 3:06 and have some jaw dropping moves. The routine they did earlier in the movie was equally jaw dropping, if not better, but I couldn't find it anywhere online. Eleanor Powell comes in at 4:52, and does one of the best numbers of her fine career. Starts off a little slow, but has a big finish. Watching movies like this makes me wish MGM was still making quality musicals.

Judy Holliday - It's A Perfect Relationship
I didn't like Judy Holliday as an actress, but as a singer no complaints.

Best Of The Rest:

1. I got a little teared up when I first saw this scene from 'An American Tail'. It's just too cute. CLICK HERE FOR Somewhere Out There

2. I always refer to Tony Martin as the other Martin. He definately holds his own in this short clip though. CLICK HERE FOR Music In My Heart

3. Here's a Jerry Lewis number from the first of the Martin & Lewis movies 'At War With The Army'. CLICK HERE FOR Send A Salami

Speed Stacks Routine

Stacking Routine
As a gym teacher I see & use Speed Stacks often. I can even do a lot of what these kids are doing, but not nearly as fast. Time to go practice my stacking so I can make a viral video.

Wade Johnston provides us with our ukulele fix for the day.

LumberJack Swagger
Cool song, bad dancing....I skipped past some jibber jabber.

Bike Hero

Bike Hero
Wow, this isn't just an great idea, but it had to have taken awhile to put together.

Never Gonna Give You Up - Barry Manilow
Just a warning, you may be Barry Rolled in the near future.

Don't Trust Me - 3Oh!3
Mac from WasteTimeChasingCars may have 40,000+ subscribers, but this is the first time I've linked to him. Nice song & video.

Sex Ed Rocks

Spintown News:
Everyone hates waiting 20 seconds or a couple minutes before the entertaining part of an online video starts. So I'm going to start adding code to my embeds or direct links that will allow you to skip to the good stuff right away. If I'm rushed, or short on time you'll have to forgive me if I don't. Most of the time however I plan on doing this to make things easier on you guys. This blog isn't that fancy or popular, but I'm trying to keep it simple & easy to use for you guys.

Sex Ed Rocks
I wish I could have just played this video the last time I had to teach a sex education class.

Your Weekly Music Lessons With Walt: Episode 8
Walt talks about the technology behind RockBand and Guitar Hero.

Ana Free - Head Over Feet
Haven't seen much of Ana lately, I'm glad she picked this great Alanis Morissette cover to post.

Douchebag
I know a few douchebags, so I'll probably make a video response to this.

Venetian Princess - Womanizer

Spintown News:
I featured Joel Cathey yesterday, and he just sent me a dance video to use in "Internet Dance 2". Probably the best submission I've had thus far. Looks like he had fun, totally new video just for this project, and of course he was entertaining. Thank you Joel & thank your dance partner as well.

Womanizer - Parody
Venetian Princess isn't one of my favorite You Tubers, but there's a reason I subscribe.

Don Ross
At first I thought I was getting ready to watch a Bob Ross video, so even though this guy rocks I was a little disappointed.

The Mighty Underdogs - Want You Back
I saw this music video on Epic Fu, and thought it was cool.

"Youtube Live" (Live Your Life parody)
Mr. Jumba is going to You Tube Live, and he celebrates with a short song.

Thursday, November 20, 2008

Featuring: Joel Cathey

Spintown News:
I start editing 'Internet Dance 2' Friday. Hopefully I'll get a real good start on the video this weekend, then finish it by the end of next weekend. That's the plan at least.

Joel Cathey is someone Jack Conte recommended in his last vlog. I checked him out, and saw that he makes great videosongs much like Jack Conte & Nataly Dawn. So I instantly subscribed, and decided to feature him today.

Jon Lajoie - Too Fast

Spintown News:
1. 'Evolution Of Dance 2' was filmed the other day, and will have a Jan release. I'm so excited I think I might have pittled a little.
2. Denny Blaze the Average Homeboy just posted a video response to my first "Internet Dance" video, as a submission for this next video.

Too Fast
Jon Lajoie has more sexually explicit lyrics for us.

Maybe I Will - Julia Nunes
Julia, with the help of a few friends, makes a cool little stop motion video for a song on her CD. Channel link is on the right.

Fun with a Greenscreen!
This guy likes his greenscreen so much he sings a song about it.

Another great original song by Mr. Choi. Channel link is on the right.

Marie Digby original

Stop Me (This Time)
What's that? You want me to post a brand new Marie Digby original song? You don't have to tell me twice, enjoy.

Four Minutes, Hey!
Cool little parody video which is probably better then the original since this features a ukulele.

The Robot
I don't subscribe to edbassmaster, but I have to admit he can be pretty funny at times.

Super Mario Bassoon Quartet
I've been listening to Mario themes in my car the past week or so, if you're wondering why I've been posting so many Mario covers lately.

Bad Rap

Spintown News:
I 'And 1'ed' a few guys today on the basketball court. I don't want to mention their names, but I can't really help myself (Stephon, Todd & Brian). I might have to change my name to the Fat & Cripple Professor. Sorry, I know this isn't really noteworthy to anyone but me...and Stephon, Todd & Brian. :p

Rap Gone Terribly Wrong
This is a really funny skit about a rapper who has some strange lyrics.

Rap Gone Terribly Wrong - Watch more Free Videos

Mario Theme On Theremin
I had to Google 'Theremin' just to find out what the heck it was.

Do The Panda Dance
I'm not totally convinced these are real pandas...just wanted to make sure I didn't mislead you in any way. :p

VOLARE
The Dean Martin version of this song is much better, but this is still a good lip sync video.

Dream Pandas

Spintown News:
Got offered an assistant sports director job at a local YMCA yesterday. Turned it down because they didn't offer enough hours, and I've already got another job that is willing to work around my school schedule. I may hate my job, but at least the hours are flexible.

Dream Pandas
Lip syncing is always better when done in costume.

Whatever You Like: Cow Version
Well done parody, best cow related video I've seen today.

Lois Mahalia - Sunrise
I normally won't feature a political video, but will link to them in the Best Of The Rest. However this song doesn't really have to be political even though she's obviously an Obama supporter.

Pomplamoose Contest
Jack & Nataly are letting their fans do artwork for their upcoming CD.

Mario Theme Music

Spintown News:
As you can see it's an all Mario post for today. Most of the major mario games are represented in some way, except for the spinoff games like Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, Mario Party, etc... The original Mario Brothers, Donky Kong & Donkey Kong Jr. are also not represented.

Double D Blues

Double D Blues
Aunt Susan shows Kelly she isn't the only one who can sing in her family.

SUPERNOTE: RESULTS
This is basically the last Super Note update, giving you links to videos from the Super Note Live event. There should be a few more Super Note related videos still to come. For instance the final version of the Shay Carl theme song, and I would guess that Rhett & Link will do some sort of remix of the Super Notes.

Shaycarl Theme on SuperNote Live
Shay Carl was the winning captain in the Super Note contest. They actually start singing the song around the 6 minute mark if you want to skip right to it.

LIL' HUSKY

A music video about me, cool.

James Bond 007 Movie Theme
Jack Conte tackles one of the best movie themes ever. A link to his channel is located on the right.

Charlie Bit Me - Remix
Remixing classic videos is always fun.

Snake Hunt Mississippi Style
I thought the people who caught catfish with their bare hands were crazy because they could get bit by turtles or snakes. These guys make those guys look like relatively sane individuals. Normally this wouldn't exactly fit the theme of this blog, I mean there's no dancing & it's not really a music video. However the background music was perfectly selected, and it's my freakin' blog so if I want to break a rule I'll do it. :p

Incredible African Dancer - The best home videos are here

Coconut Genie Part 2
I guess 2 young girls got ahold of their parents video camera, and decided to show the world their terrible acting & writing chops by creating a short movie. This part is called 'Gangsta Girl Vs Spider Woman', and the other 2 parts will be in the Best Of The Rest below.

Coconut Genie Part 2, Gangsta Girl Vs Spider Woman - The funniest movie is here. Find it

Super Mario Bros. 2
Here's the gypsy/jazz style theme of the videogame. Honestly I could post a Mario theme every day, and not get tired of listening to them.

Every Street's A Boulevard
Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis are my favorite comic duo ever, and here's one of their most famous duets together.

Featuring: Buddy Rich

Drum Battle vs Jerry Lewis (1965)
This is more of a comedy routine then a drum battle, but worth watching.

Drum Battle vs Animal
This is one of my favorite clips from the Muppet Show.

Tribute To Ella Fitzgerald With Mel Torme
This shows Buddy playing under some difficult circumstances, and Mel really showing off his scat skills.

Last U.S. Taped Show (Part 1 of 2)
This performance was for a PBS station fundraiser. It was taped in Jan of 87, and Buddy & Mel actually switch roles at one point. Part 2 will be in the Best Of The Rest below.

François Macré - Thriller

This guy must really like Michael Jackson to put in so much time making this video.

Pomplamoose - Gatekeeper
Another great video from Pomplamoose, this time with a Feist Cover.

He Loves A Fat Girl
Public access television is always good for a laugh or 2.

Hexapodmeisterschaft
Robots are cool, and obviously we like dancing here at Spintown. So dancing robots are usually featured. Oh, I found 4 of todays videos thanks to POPTUB. Link on the side for those interested.

Flight Of The Bumble Bee

Spintown News:
While searching for post worthy videos I happen across a lot of people attempting to play 'Flight Of The Bumble Bee' by Rimski Korsakow with various instruments. I thought I'd share a few I've come across lately. These are not all the videos I've seen, and maybe you've seen some better, but I hope you enjoy these 12. I was a bit rushed while posting this so please forgive the lack of descriptions & any typos.

You Can Vote However You Like
Kids from the Ron Clark Academy performing a live parody to TI's "Whatever You Like".

I love these literal videos, this one is a Red Hot Chili Peppers cover.

Single Ladies Single Man Beyonce Mashup

I've got a pretty good post for you today, but first I'd like to mention a few things.
- First, I'd like to pat myself on the back a little. Did anyone notice I posted an update everyday during October!
- Second, it's getting close to the 1 year anniversary since I started this blog. Nov. 6, '07 was my first post, and things have changed a bit since then. I didn't really have much of a goal in mind, or much direction.
- The last thing I'd like to mention is that this blog will be getting another small upgrade. I've hired someone to make some graphics for the site. Not much, but a new header, logo, icon & maybe a few different banners. I haven't seen any of the guys work yet, so I don't know how it's going to turn out. This blog will remain very simple looking even after the new graphics. I don't like a lot of pointless eye candy on sites/blogs I visit, and advertising is even worse. So new graphics won't mean more, and since I do this for fun & not money I'll never have ads. (unless I start getting millions of hits each day, in which I reserve the right to be a sellout :p )

This guy was my lead video a few days back, it might have been the funniest video I had ever watched. I knew it was just a matter of time before someone did a mashup with the original music video. Enjoy.

Stand By Me - International Version
One of the best versions of 'Stand By Me' I have heard, and it's a really cool idea to boot.

Lip Sync Kid
This starts off a little slow, but just wait. This kid really gets into the song, and does a great job. One day I'm going to have to post a list of the top 10 lip sync videos of all time. I'm officially putting it on the to do list.

I featured Tommy Knox not too long ago in this blog, and mentioned he had quickly became one of my favorite You Tubers. At the time I didn't even know he did covers for charity, so mad props to the guy again.

What's It Gonna Be?
It's time to revisit a classic, been awhile since I had come across this.
