Scott Bradlee Plays Your Requests

I've featured Scott on my blogs in the past. His piano playing is amazing, and he recently started taking requests that he's putting into Mashups. I'm always pimping "Today's The Day" by Inverse T. Clown when it comes to cover requests, so once again I put in a request. As I was watching his newest video I was surprized to see he included my request. Here's a list of the songs in the mashup:

1. "Under Pressure" - Queen & David Bowie (MormonPJesus)
2. "Friday" - Rebecca Black (piano2live09)
3. "Pump It Up" - Elvis Costello (crimsong19)
4. "Today's The Day" - Inverse T. Clown (Spintown7)
5. "Sweet Caroline" - Neil Diamond (baixistarj)
6. "Mad World" - Tears For Fears (bounder7985)
7. "Sunny Afternoon" - The Kinks (Giovanna220)
8. "Someday My Prince Will Come" - Adriana Caselotti (saxplayer19)
9. "Back To The Future Theme" - Alan Silvestri (valerie2776)
10. "Freebird" - Lynyrd Skynyrd (JamieTricks)

If you want to cover "Today's The Day", you'll be featured on the the "Today's The Day" blog run by Dave Leigh.

For those wondering why I request this song ALL the time...well there's a few reasons.

1. I like the song.
2. I know Inverse.
3. I just think it's really cool to have people cover a song they've never heard of, by an independent artist who nobody's ever heard of.

During the past year or so there have been over a dozen covers of this song, and it's actually hard to find a copy of the original. Be the next to cover the song, and join in on the fun.

  1. This guy's got some chops, nice stuff. Of course, this is a medley, not a mashup, and the Back to the Future score is by Alan Silvestri, not John Williams ;) But it's a great performance!

  2. I agree it's a medley & not a mashup, but if the man wants to call his video a mashup, who am I to argue... As for the John Williams screw up...that's all me. I'll fix it now.

  3. So where the hell do I find the original "Today's The Day"? I can't seem to find it. I've been Googling for 5 whole minutes--and in Google search time that's like walking through the desert for 40 years. With no sandals.
