Look At Her Glass

This was written for Nur Ein XIX Round 6. The title had to be "Glass" and the challenge was to use multiple time signatures. There were lots of ways to tie "glass" to a Minecraft song. I decided to ignore all the logical possibilities & lean into the most cringe one I was able to think of. Just because it gave me video ideas that made me laugh. Basically I plan to do a video in which the girl is building all these amazing glass structures and you see them with her back turned to you. And of course the guy is gushing over her "glass" when well...you get it.

After I had the topic set, I knew I wanted it to be rap. Joe asked if I had any references for the style of rap I wanted him to go for, and I said late 80's/early 90's.

Verses in 4/4 time signature and the choruses in 3/4.

I'll do a video for this in 2/3 months.  Got other projects to work on atm though.

This was written for Nur Ein XIX Round 5. The title had to be "House Of Cards", and it had to include a breakdown in the song.

There's not really a lot in Minecraft that could fall apart like a house of cards. After thinking awhile, the closest thing I could think of was parkour speed runs. The further you go without screwing up is on par with building a house of cards higher & higher. 1 mistake & everything falls apart & you have to start over. So my song topic was someone speed running a parkour course. For the music I wanted some sort of electronic dance track. After listening to various genres I typically avoid, I gave Joe a list of possible genres like chillwave, synthwave, syn-pop, electro-disco & dance pop. He did the rest.

This was written for Nur Ein XIX Round 4. The title had to be "Crush Season" and the challenge was to use a Line Cliche. It was also submitted to Song Fight for the fight "Unstoppable Force". I still have no idea what a "Line Cliche" is, Joe told me, "it starts with C#, then C then, B and then I resolve the line cliche with a F# chord". It's played twice in the prechorus. *fingers crossed*

I decided to write about a 12 year old boy who just started his summer vacation. He was looking forward to grinding his favorite Minecraft mini game on Hypixel to climb the leaderboards all summer long. However...when he logs in he spots the e-girl of his dreams. So instead of being an Unstoppable Force and climbing the leaderboards he spends his time trying to get the attention of his dream e-girl. I know it's cringe, but given the topic, it's kinda meant to be.
